Hi everyone, are you familiar with the currently super-hot e-sports title “VALORANT?”
It’s a 5-on-5 FPS^*1 game, and right now it’s wildly popular all over the world.

We are proud to announce that Sharp has become an official partner of the large-scale official tournament, the VALORANT Champions Tour Pacific Stage 2 Finals Tokyo.

Let’s dive into how it all unfolded!

*1 FPS = First Person Shooter. A genre of shooting games in which players control a character from a first-person perspective and engage in combat using weapons such as guns.

■VALORANT Champions Tour Pacific Stage 2 Finals Tokyo

This international tournament is organized and operated by Riot Games, the developer of VALORANT.
It is also known worldwide for League of Legends.

During the two days of the tournament, a large number of fans filled the venue.
In particular, on the second day—Sunday of August 31st—the tickets were completely sold out, as it was the final match and featured one of the most popular teams favored to win. Even the fourth-floor seats were packed.

The player introductions began—the excitement in the arena was off the charts!

Excuse the excitement, but it was really that thrilling!

Sharp supported the event as an official partner of this tournament, and taking this opportunity I’d like to share some scenes of our sponsorship as well.

■Sharp’s Role as an Official Partner

As an official partner of the tournament, Sharp didn’t just have its name displayed. We also supported the event by installing Plasmacluster air purifiers throughout the venue.

At the venue, there were booths from other sponsoring companies where visitors could purchase e-sports mice and experience VALORANT on gaming PCs, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves even outside of the matches.

Though we had kept it a secret on the day of the tournament, on September 3, we announced our sponsorship agreement with one of the Japanese famous professional e-sports team, QT DIG∞. During the tournament, we had subtly hinted at this at the tournament venue through a teaser.

In this post, we introduced Sharp’s sponsorship of the tournament and Sharp’s support through Plasmacluster air purifiers.
Moving forward, Sharp will continue to support both the e-sports industry and the sponsored professional e-sports team, QT DIG∞, in various ways.
