Sharp Electronics Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (SEM) celebrates its 40th anniversary this year 2025, counting from its establishment in 1985. Prior to this, a press conference was held on December 20, 2024 in Malaysia.
Various declarations were announced related to the 40th anniversary, including the establishment of a new slogan and the appointment of ambassadors.

This time, I would like to introduce the contents of this event.

New Slogan “Live Mighty”

First, at this event, SEM announced its new slogan, “Live Mighty.”
This slogan was named to symbolize Empowerment, Excellence, and Bold Living.

New Ambassadors Appointed

Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan, the Malaysian women’s badminton doubles team who reached the semifinals for the first time as Malaysian players at the 2024 Summer Olympics, have been appointed as SEM’s new ambassadors.

40 Mighty Care Initiative (From 25FQ1 Onwards)

Over 40 CSR activities will be held starting April this year.

1. Beach/River Cleanup (6x): Kick-starting in Kuala Lumpur, followed by selected sales branches in collaboration with dealers.
2. Old Folks Home Support (10x): Cleaning efforts and entertainment activities for senior residents.
3. Children’s Home Engagement (10x): One-day educational activities for underprivileged children.
4. Meals for the Needy (8x): Partnering with NGOs to cook and distribute meals to underprivileged families and communities.
5. Youth Innovation Challenge (1x): Collaborating with schools to encourage students to develop innovative home tech ideas.
6. Tree Planting Initiative (1x): Partnering with NGOs and dealers for a tree-planting program.
7. Flood Relief Program (3x): Offering repair services for Sharp products damaged by floods.
8. Education for All (1x): Donating refurbished products to rural schools to improve learning conditions.

The Malaysian team will be working hard for a better society this year.

Promotion Campaign

A five-month treasure hunt campaign with discounts of up to 40% and a chance to unlock mystery gifts will be held.

Expansion of Services and Warranties

Products warranty period will be extended by one year and service completion within seven days will be guaranteed.

Memory Lane Exhibit

In the exhibition corner, SEM showcased Sharp’s vintage products in Malaysia.

When comparing home appliances from 40 years ago with current products, the change and evolution is apparent. I wonder what home appliances will be like 40 years from now.

This time, we introduced Sharp’s initiatives and events in Malaysia.
