Sharp Indonesia Strengthens Its Commitment to Environmental Preservation Through Action on Tunda Island
July 22, 2025

Indonesia’s coastal and marine ecosystems continue to face serious challenges, including plastic pollution, coral reef degradation, and the overexploitation of mangrove forests.
As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental protection, and in conjunction with World Environment Day, Sharp Indonesia(SEID) carried out its #SharpUntukBumi sustainability program on Tunda Island, located in Serang, Banten. This initiative reflects the company’s strong dedication to environmental conservation.
In collaboration with the Indonesian Coral Reef Foundation (Terangi), SEID engaged employees from various departments, members of the media (both national and local), and the local island community. Together, they took part in impactful activities such as the planting of 5,500 mangrove seedlings, coral reef transplantation, and a beach clean-up.
