Sharp Electronics Corporation USA (SEC) welcomed Sharp President Tetsuji (Ted) Kawamura to its Montvale, New Jersey headquarters on Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1, for a full two days of discussions, presentations, and employee engagement. During the visit, Ted met with Sharp local employees and leadership from the Americas to gain deeper insight into the company’s business priorities, performance, and future opportunities.

The visit began with a tour of SEC’s headquarters and showroom, followed by a series of presentations and discussions with members of the executive leadership team and employees. Throughout the two days, Ted participated in strategic discussions focused on SEC’s business strategies and operations, creating valuable opportunities for him and the U.S. leadership team to exchange perspectives on Sharp’s direction, priorities, and growth opportunities. The sessions enabled leaders to share accomplishments, discuss market trends, and gain direct insight from Ted on the company’s broader vision and objectives.

A highlight of the visit included a companywide town hall, where Ted addressed employees and shared his perspective on Sharp’s vision, priorities, and future direction, including some exciting news, such as future Sharp branded AI servers and satellite innovations. Employees gathered both in person and remotely from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico to hear firsthand about the company’s goals and participate in a broader conversation through a Q&A session about Sharp’s continued growth and innovation.

On the second day of the visit, Ted also participated in a roundtable discussion with next-generation employees, encouraging open and candid conversations about their experiences, ideas, and aspirations for Sharp’s future. Both the town hall and next-generation discussions underscored the importance of collaboration and communication across the organization while giving employees throughout the Americas an opportunity to connect directly with Sharp’s global leadership.

Throughout the visit there was ongoing dialogue between Ted and SEC leadership around the future of Sharp’s business in the Americas. These conversations provided a forum to address key business priorities, align on strategic direction, and hear Ted’s perspective on the opportunities and challenges shaping the company’s future. He additionally met with SIICA dealers, providing an opportunity to exchange business insights, discuss market dynamics, and strengthen relationships with key channel partners.

Ted’s visit underscored the importance of close collaboration between Sharp’s global and regional leadership teams, fostering open dialogue and alignment around business priorities, employee engagement, and the company’s future direction. Since assuming the role of President and CEO in April 2026, Ted has visited several Sharp locations, including the Hiroshima, Yao, and Makuhari sites in Japan, meeting directly with employees and sharing his vision for Sharp’s future. His stop in Montvale continues that tradition of engagement, underscoring the importance of collaboration, communication, and a shared commitment to growth across the global Sharp organization.
