In early 2021, Sharp’s Aquos Zero 2 smartphone showed its mettle by winning the “Best Innovative Smartphone” award at the “Gadgetsquad Reviewer’s Choice 2020”. The award is an annual event organized by Gadgetsquad.id to recognize the best smartphone products in Indonesia. Aquos Zero 2 was recognized as the Japanese smartphone that offers a new experience to its users.

The judges, who are members of the gadget enthusiast community, found the innovation of the display with its 240Hz refresh rate and one billion colors, along with its lightweight design, to be the greatest strengths of Sharp’s AQUOS Zero 2. It weighs just 141 grams, which is light for a gaming smartphone that is typically heavy.

Reviewers also expressed their expectation for Sharp, a Japanese brand, to provide innovative entry-level and mid-range smartphones in Indonesia.
