To Celebrate World Clean Up Day, Sharp Greenerator Do Clean Up action in Harapan Island

Plastic waste is still an environmental problem in the world including Indonesia that has not been solved despite many innovations that have been made to solve it. In the background of these problems Sharp Greenerator a community of young people fostered by PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) welcomed the celebration of World Clean Up Day to initiate an environmental conservation education program to increase awareness of is people who live in Harapan Island and tourists to keeping the island clean, facilitated by Terangi foundation, Sharp Greenerator carried out its action on 23 – 24 September 2023.

This program aim to increase public awareness of the dangers of plastic waste as well as how to solve the problem of plastic waste by recycling plastic waste into ergonomic materials.
In the waste cleanup activity around the environment of Harapan Island by inviting 50 students of SDN 01 Harapan Island, 72 kg of waste was collected in this activity, where the collected waste was sorted and some would be handed over to the waste bank which would later be recycled into ergonomic goods and Sharp donated 111 mangrove tree seedling in this activity.
