On Thursday, February 24, 2022, Sharp Indonesia has conducted the AC Factory Ground Breaking Ceremony in Karawang International Industrial City (KIIC).

The ceremony was attended by Ministry of Industry representatives, Ministry of Investment representatives, the Japanese Embassy to Indonesia representatives, Regent of Karawang representatives and top management of PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID). The ceremony was opened by Mr Shinji Teraoka Opening Speech as President Director of SEID. Then followed up by speech of Mr Masami Tamamura (Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of Embassy Japan), Mr Acep Jamhuri (Secretary Region of Karawang), and the speech session closed by Mr Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita (Minister of Industry, which delivered through zoom meeting).

Sharp also conduct a symbolic of Ground Breaking by putting sand in a box by Mr Shinji Teraoka, Mr Taufik Bawazier (Ministry of Industry Representative), and Mr. Acep Jamhuri, and Mr Riyatno (Minitry of Investement Representative). After the ceremony, all invited guests visited the washing machine factory, to review the process and production standards applied by Sharp Indonesia.
