Sharp Indonesia Hold Sharp Mapan To Raise Farmers Welfare
July 5, 2021
To contribute to the success of the Indonesian government’s program and the Global Movement Program, the Sustainable Development Goals, PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia has hosted a CSR program called Sharp Mapan. This program aims to improve national food security and the welfare of Indonesian farmers, which affect the Indonesian economy.

Sharp, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), began the program by planting rice in the Karawang area, the company’s ring 1 area, during the planting season on July 5, 2021. The program covers an area of 20 hectares and is carried out in two stages with the participation of more than 100 farmers. The selected farmers come from poor farmers who do not have the capital to work in their fields and rely on middlemen. This program frees them from intermediaries and makes them independent farmers.
