SEID has conducted activities to commemorate Earth Day since 2009, and this year, P.T. Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) conducted Sharp Greenerator Inauguration and Workshop for SEID youth organization/community, Sharp Greenerator. This activity aimed to inaugurate new Sharp Greenerator members and provide them the knowledge about waste management and biodiversity through seminars and workshops in two days.

The two days event took place at Sentul Eco Edu Forest from April 27th to 28th for participants. Several green actions were also done by Sharp Greenerator members during seminars and workshops. First, Sharp Greenerator members learned the importance of managing waste in household from Waste 4 Change program, and after the program, participants studied variety of rare plants and collected plastic wastes while trekking throught forests and rivers. At the end of the event, Sharp Greenerator members also planted ten endemic trees in the forest.

In line with this activity, SEID released the letter of SEID Commitment towards nature. The official letter signed by Mr. Tadashi Ohyama (CEO) and Mr. Shinji Teraoka (President Director) was published to all SEID employees, and stated SEID’s commitment to the nature.

As stated in the commitment letter, SEID continues to be committed as an eco-friendly company and encourage every employee to start changing their lifestyle into more eco-friendly manners.
