On Thursday, September 26th, Sharp Semiconductor Indonesia (SSI) conducted CSR activity School Go Green at SMK Negeri 1 Rengasdengklok. The activity was carried out together with Industrial estate KIIC and other tenants, with Telaga Desa agro-enviro education park.
![]() All tenants and teachers before tree planting ![]() SSI assigns the cover tree to school SMK Negeri 1 Rengasdengklok was chosen for the School Go Green location since the school was the Adiwiyata award winner at Regency level and the winner of 2019 Cultured Environmental Award at West Java Province. This school will also represent West Java in the National Environmental Culture Schools 2020. Wawan Cakra, The Head of SMK Negeri 1 Rengasdengklok said in his speech that with a school area of almost three hectares, the SMK Negeri 1 Rengasdengklok has a lot of empty land, and with 1,460 students in five expertise competencies, help and encouragement from other parties to green the school is needed. KIIC’s Head of External Relations Division, Bambang Sugeng said that School Go Green was one of KIIC and tenant’s efforts to increase environmental awareness, especially for students and teachers. In this activity, KIIC, tenants and Telaga Desa donated 20 trash bins and 30 fruit trees of various types, and 150 cover trees. We hope this School Go Green program enhances the environmental awareness, especially among students and teachers, and also the emphasis of Environmental Culture Schools will be implemented well in daily activities.
