SHARP Malaysia Launches “Japanese Living to My Home” ーBringing Japanese-Inspired Living to Malaysian Homes ー
June 26, 2026
Sharp Electronics Malaysia (SEM) kicked off two milestone events in April and May 2026, introducing the “Japanese Living to My Home” concept — a collaborative initiative that brings modern Japanese-inspired living directly to Malaysian consumers through innovation, design, and lifestyle partnerships.
Grand Opening at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre
On 30 April 2026, SEM partnered with Nojima Malaysia to soft launch “Japanese Living to My Home” at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Distinguished guests, partners, and representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia gathered for the ceremonial opening.
The showcase, held at the Ground Floor Main Atrium, featured thoughtfully curated living spaces across the kitchen, living room, and laundry areas — all designed to elevate everyday home experiences. In collaboration with event partner Nojima Malaysia, and lifestyle partners Nitori Malaysia and Aatas Living, visitors were able to explore how Japanese innovation and interior design can seamlessly blend into Malaysian homes.
The roadshow ran for two weeks at the main concourse area, while SHARP’s first-ever pop-up store at LaLaport KL will operate for a full year, offering a permanent touchpoint for the Japanese Living experience.

Official Launch at Aatas Living Showroom
On 20 May 2026, SEM took the concept further with an official launch at the Aatas Living Showroom in Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya, together with Nitori Malaysia. The event showcased a complete Japanese living experience — featuring interior solutions, home appliances, furnishings, and decorative elements tailored specifically for the Malaysian market.
A highlight of the event was the unveiling of SHARP’s newly upgraded two-door refrigerator series, “MATELIA,” which attracted strong attention for its premium aesthetics, smart AIoT connectivity, and modern Japanese-inspired design that blends naturally into various home interiors.
Also on display was a refreshing comfort pairing: SHARP J-Tech Inverter air conditioners together with Nitori’s N-COOL cooling fabric series — a perfect combination for Malaysia’s tropical climate.
