COVID-19 comes to us from all directions. This is our struggle. Like it or not, this is a reality that must be faced as strong as we can, and P.T. Sharp Semiconductor Indonesia (SSI) decided to take actions against the spread of COVID-19.

On April 7, SSI took real action from CSR point of view against COVID-19; donating 90 PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) units for medical personnel as the front guard team at 3 hospitals: Dewi Sri Hospitals in Karawang, UGM hospital in Yogyakarta and District General Hospital in Kebumen Central Java.

Internally, SSI already began implementing body temperature checks and washing hands with soap and running water for employees starting January 26. For guests, hand sanitizers and body temperature checks are provided at the security post. Employees or guests whose temperature above 37.3 degrees Celsius are guided to rest at home.

Related information is shared via email, attaching posters at strategic locations with eye catching information. It is hoped to increase employee understanding and awareness of the dangers of COVID-19 and what should be done. Information regarding COVID-19 progress in Indonesia is also provided by paging tools by creating a telegram group to serve as an information media from management for all employees.

Social distancing is applied in the bus, canteen, mosque, and other places that allow employees to gather. Spraying every morning using disinfectant in areas such as canteen, lockers, and lobby is conducted. The presence activity is confirmed without using fingerprints, but just tapping on ID cards. In addition, many other activities such as physical distancing in production lines and providing multivitamin for all employees are carried out.

COVID-19 give many lessons for us to grow stronger than before. Keep positive thinking, keep personal and family health more and more, and share with others who are economically suffering because of this situation. We hope this pandemic will soon pass and leave the best memories for us. The hope…. will always be there. Be positive thinking.
