June 24, 2019
Air pollution has become a serious issue in Thailand, and as a company based in Thailand, Sharp Thai Co., Ltd. (STCL) has committed itself to clean the air in the country with Plasmacluster technology through product sales, donations and alliances.
On June 20th, STCL announced its “First Time Ever in Thailand” introduction of Plasmacluster to trains with the signing of an MOU with Bangkok Mass Transit System PCL (BTS), Thailand’s leading mass transit provider, and VGI Global Media PCL (VGI), Thailand’s number one Offline-to-Online solutions provider across advertising, payment and logistics platforms. Together, three parties will install Plasmacluster technology to BTS SkyTrain, an elevated rapid transit system in Bangkok.

Plasmacluster technology will be installed on two trains of BST SkyTrain within this month as a trial. This is the first time ever in Thailand to install Plasmacluster on a train, and this follows the technology’s installation in train cars in Japan. Passengers on BTS SkyTrain will enjoy better air quality while commuting.
In addition, VGI will study how it can adapt digital signage solutions by Sharp in their advertising services, and Sharp will study to utilize VGI media platforms for future marketing activities.
