PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) introduced AIREST, its latest innovation combining the functions of an air conditioner and an air purifier in a single device. The launch event was held at Rumah Kaca Melati, Hutan Kota by Plataran on August 5^th 2026, under the theme “When Cooling Meets Purifying.”

The event highlighted that people spend a large share of their time indoors, while indoor air quality is not always better than outdoor air quality. Fine dust, allergens, bacteria, viruses, pet dander and pollutants entering from outside can continue to circulate indoors and affect comfort and well-being.

In response to these changing needs, AIREST is designed to help deliver cleaner air while providing cooling comfort that fits modern lifestyles. The product is positioned as the world’s first split air conditioner equipped with a built-in MERV 14-certified filter^*1, a filtration standard commonly used in buildings with high air quality requirements.

*1 AHAM (the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers), an industry association representing home appliance manufacturers primarily in the United States and Canada, has certified our air conditioner as meeting the MERV 14 (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value 14) standard—a rating that indicates the performance of air filters used in air-conditioning and ventilation systems. This marks the first time that a mini-split air conditioner, featuring separate indoor and outdoor units, has received MERV 14 certification.
