Sharp Indonesia Presents the Effectiveness of Plasmacluster Technology in Reducing Airborne Novel Coronaviruses

At a recent event in Geneva, the World Health Organization (WHO) acknowledged new evidence that SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19, is spreading through the air. Meanwhile, Professor Jiro Yasuda of National Research Center for the Control and Prevention of Infectious Diseases, Nagasaki University and his colleagues presented new findings on the effectiveness of Plasmacluster technology in reducing airborne novel coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2) for the first time in the world. This achievement was accomplished in collaboration with Sharp Corporation developing the device for experiment.
P.T. Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) presented these findings through a webinar held on September 22, 2020. Mr. Hiromasa Okajima, General Manager of PCI Product Planning Dept., Smart Appliances & Solution BU of Sharp Corporation explained how the research conducted by Professor Yasuda and his colleagues works to 72 top Indonesian journalists.

The event also featured live discussions with speakers such as Mr. Shinji Teraoka, President Director of SEID, Mr. Andry Adi Utomo, National Sales Sr. General Manager, and Mr. Yudha Eka Putra, Head Section of Plasmacluster Product Strategy. After the event, SEID received a tremendous response, with over 120 articles published across Indonesia.
