Sharp Philippines Donates Washers And Dryers to City of Muntinlupa
November 19, 2019
A report of the German think tank Germanwatch ranked the Philippines as one of the most affected countries by climate change. The devastation caused by typhoons to lives, property and livelihood has become a new normal. The vulnerability of the Philippines to climate change impacts is most evident in Metro Manila, considering the national capital region’s geography and population density. For this reason, the readiness of the local government officials is imperative who are tasked to first respond to the needs of the community in times of disasters and calamities.
It is in this regard that Sharp (Phils.) Corporation (SPC), through its Corporate Social Responsibility program donated fifty-one (51) units of washers (ES-W500 (BL)) and fifty-one (51) units of dryers (ES-D708 (GY)) to the City of Muntinlupa through Muntinlupa City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management office.
