Sharp Indonesia Provides Free Laundry and Plasmacluster Tent for Eruption in Semeru

On December 4, 2021, we were all shocked by the eruption of Mount Semeru, which caused more than 9,000 people to be displaced, more than 5,000 houses were damaged, and claimed 46 lives.
In response to the disaster, PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) provided assistance through a CSR program for affected residents in Penanggal village, Lumajang.
Collaborating with the Human Initiative, through Jember and Surabaya Branches, SEID provided free medical checkup, donated face mask and built Plasmacluster Tents to help improve air quality in the refugee camps, which were constantly being showered with volcanic ash.

Besides being affected by respiratory problems, according to field observations, several residents also experienced eye infections, so SEID provided an Air Purifier equipped with Plasmacluster and Humidifier technology to reduce irritation.
SEID also provided a post-cleaning facility to help providing clean clothes in the refugee camps. The cleaning post facilities were built in 4 different refugee locations, apart from Penanggal village, the post was also built in Supiturang village and 2 points in Pasirian village.
