On April 21st, Sharp Electronics Malaysia (SEM) held a CSR event, Sharp I Love Shah Alam Fun Run 2019.

This fun run event was conducted as one of CSR activities by SEM for the community of Shah Alam, where SEM office is located, and intended to support healthy of residents in the area. Runners gathered at SEM office and started running from 7:00 AM.

In order to make the event fun and engaging, the event was filled with following programs.

1) Dress-up:  Runners were encouraged to dress-up as they like
2) Lucky-draw:  Products and vouchers from SEM and partners of this event were given to lucky participants
3) Mist Gate:  Gate emitted mist to cool down hot runners
4) Cold drinks:  Free cold drinks kept in refrigerators were served to thirsty runners
5) Songs/dances:  SEM employees cheer up the event with songs and dances

Government officials from Malaysia Investment Development Authority, Selangor State Development of Youth & Sports and Human Capital, and Selangor Police attended the event along with corporate partners.

Dedicated SEM members had been working hard on organizing this event, and some of them even started preparation on 4:00 AM on the event day, but their effort has paid off greatly as over 4,000 runners joined the event whereas the initial target number of runners was 3,000.
