On August 28, 2024, Sharp Philippines Corporation (SPC) held a commemorative ceremony and press conference to celebrate the production of 11 million washing machines. SPC President Kito conveyed a message, stating, \u201cThis milestone of achieving 11 million units of production was made possible by the continuous efforts of our production and sales teams, as well as the support of our valued dealers and customers. We take great pride in this achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Komori, General Manager of the Clean Appliance & Laundry Business Unit, the Smart Appliances & Solutions Business Unit, also attended the event. He shared future prospects, saying, \u201cWe have been contributing to people\u2019s lives through our washing machine business worldwide for many years. Moving forward, we will strengthen our approach to different markets by expanding our lineup with advanced products focused on AIoT and SDGs for developed countries, as well as locally-fit products for emerging markets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since establishing its washing machine production line in 1987, SPC has been dedicated to serving Filipino households and supporting their daily lives. Prior to the ceremony, a contest titled \u201cSearch For Oldest Washing Machine\u201d was held, recognizing customers who have been using their washing machines for the longest time. The contest received over 100 entries, with some customers having used their products for over 30 years. Each winner shared their stories of long-standing trust and the unwavering reliability and durability of Sharp washing machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its CSR activities, SPC donated locally-produced washing machines to 17 neighboring cities, including Muntinlupa City, where the SPC factory is located, for use during disasters. The mayors of the recipient cities expressed their gratitude, and SPC pledged to continue supporting community activities and contributing to providing clean and safe environments for people seeking refuge during emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To commemorate the production of 11 million units, a special promotional campaign themed around the number 11 was announced. Additionally, customers who purchase during the campaign period will receive a free regular inspection and an 11% discount on parts replacement. (The promotion period runs until September 30, 2024.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
