On January 21, 2022, the AQUOS XLED was launched at Sharp\u2019s flagship store in Syntrend Creative Park in Taipei. Robert Wu, Sharp Corporation Executive Managing Director and President of Global Brand Products BU, and Steven Chang, President of Sharp (Taiwan) Electronics Corporation (STE), took part in the launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Syntrend Creative Park is a shopping complex offering a unique experience for visitors, satisfying all imaginable needs with the latest trends in technology and consumer electronics, comics and various pop culture, children\u2019s entertainment, and the hottest in audio and video products. The Sharp flagship store is on Syntrend\u2019s fourth floor, where it is joined by other name-brand locations that allow shoppers to try out smart appliances, kitchen gadgets, and stress-relieving massage chairs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the event, Robert Wu talked about Sharp\u2019s history of innovation and its plans to continue enriching the lives of global consumers. \u201cThis year marks Sharp\u2019s 110th anniversary. We have always taken the initiative to innovate by focusing on technology and research in order to bring consumers a healthy, happy lifestyle. This focus is expressed in this flagship AQUOS XLED. We are determined to take this launch beyond Taiwan and throughout Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe. Like all Sharp\u2019s products, the AQUOS XLED was developed to meet the needs of each and every consumer. We will continue to make Sharp a central part of people\u2019s lives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steven Chang followed by stressing Sharp\u2019s response to intensifying competition in the industry.\u201cIn the past several decades in the electronics world, more and more consumers are demanding products with better functions, and clearly it has become crucial that manufacturers tap into demand for replacement purchases. The market wants TVs with bigger screens, better image and sound quality, and multiple use over numerous smart devices. The AQUOS XLED in particular satisfies the criteria of image and sound quality, and design.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new product launch attracted over 50 members of the press, with the AQUOS XLED debut getting coverage following the event in media including TV, newspaper, and online news outlets. The AQUOS XLED is set for release in Taiwan in April 2022.
